Shourie included in GoMs

New Delhi Jan.1. Seven Groups of Ministers, including those on labour reforms and FDI, have been reconstituted to include the Disinvestment Minister, Arun Shourie, who is also in charge of the Commerce and Industry Ministry.

In the changes effected recently, Mr. Shourie has been included in the GoMs on Labour reforms, Foreign Direct Investment, Policy and Institutional Reforms, Small Scale Industries, Integrated Food laws as also the GoM on withdrawal of the Quantitative Restrictions on the import of Agricultural commodities under the WTO regime, official sources said here.

Interestingly, in the GoMs on FDI, Labour reforms, SSI and WTO, Mr. Shourie has been added on, in addition to Murasoli Maran.

Mr. Shourie is also part of the recently-constituted GoM for finalising the proposals for negotiations under the Agreement on Agriculture of the WTO and the GoM for fixing natural gas prices. The GoM for finalising proposals on agriculture for the WTO, is headed by the Finance Minister, Jaswant Singh, the Law Minister, Jana Krishnamurthy, the Agriculture Minister, Ajit Singh, and the External Affairs Minister, Yashwant Sinha.
