RSS brass to meet tomorrow

Nagpur Jan. 4. Top functionaries of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will meet at Taroda, in neighbouring Wardha district, from January 6 to discuss the agenda and preparations for the Akhil Bhartiya Pratinidhi Sabha, scheduled for March 6, the Sangh spokesman, M.G. Vaidya, said today.

The three-day conclave would be attended by the RSS chief, K.S. Sudarshan, and its general secretary, Mohan Bhagwat, besides the VHP leader, Praveen Togadia, Mr. Vaidya, who is hosting the meeting at his native village, said.

The meeting, described as routine and restricted only to top RSS functionaries including its `head pracharaks', has assumed significance in the wake of the BJP victory in Gujarat.

The `Pratinidhi Sabha' (general council), a representative body of all frontal organisations of the RSS, will also name the new RSS executive.
