Online quiz contest

CHENNAI JAN. 5. Around 150 teams participated in the first online Ad Club-Business Line quiz contest today. The ninth edition of the quiz went online with participation from Sify.

The two-member teams participated in the quiz from 75 cyber cafes of Sify (Iway) in six cities in Bangalore, Kochi, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Delhi, apart from Chennai.

A Sify spokesman said it was a challenge to conduct the quiz across six cities simultaneously but for a few hitches, it was a reasonable success. The questions were drawn from the fields of advertising, business, media and marketing dotcoms. The participants had to answer 50 questions with 15 seconds for each.

The top six teams will be participating in the final to be held on January 18. While the winner would receive a cash prize of Rs 50,000, runners-up will get Rs 25,000 each.
