Hearing deferred on `observations' against Rajiv

New Delhi Jan. 7. Hearing on a petition for expunging certain observations against the former Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi, made by a Special Judge in an order for framing of charges in the Bofors payoff case against the Hinduja brothers, was today deferred till January 21.

While fixing January 21 for the next hearing on the petition by a lawyers' organisation, seeking quashing of certain observations by the Special Court, a High Court Bench, comprising Justice Dalveer Bhandari and Justice S. K. Agrawal, said the matter would be heard by the same Bench which was seized of a related case concerning the Hinduja brothers. — PTI
