The council's president, Sajan K. George, has in a press release asked the U.S. not to allow Sangh Parivar activists to use its territory to create divisions. The GCIC, it said, would be constrained to undertake a Manava Gourava Yatra to focus attention on the ``genocide aided and abetted by the Narendra Modi regime'' in Gujarat last year. The GCIC expressed concern over the Gujarat Government's reported move to close files relating to riot investigations. It said those responsible for the blood bath were walking free, posing a grave challenge to the collective conscience of humanity. The GCIC said Non-Resident Indians must demand implementation of the recommendations of the tribunal of the Citizens for Justice and Peace, led by Justice V.R.Krishna Iyer. ``We are horrified and pained at the rhetoric of vengeance and rage that is emanating from the champions of Gujarat.'' Hate mongering only led to destruction. ``Let us build a world of peace, harmony, justice and goodwill,'' the GCIC said.
