Dalit woman, daughter paraded naked

KHANDWA JAN. 13. A Dalit woman and her daughter were stripped and paraded naked in Pachaya village of the Pandhana tehsil by some influential members of the village on Thursday.

Narayan Natthu, husband of the woman, was beaten up in the incident, the family told presspersons here today.

Police, however, denied that the women were paraded naked even as they registered a case of assault against 10 persons of whom eight have been arrested. They rejected the daughter's claim that four youths of the village had raped her.
