Brahmananda dead

Bangalore Jan. 23. The eminent economist and president of the International Economic Association, P.R. Brahmananda, died here today. He was 76 and a bachelor.

Prof. Brahmananda, who had a heart-attack last month, collapsed while completing an article for The Hindu-Business Line to which he was a regular contributor on economic and financial affairs. He was rushed to a nursing home and the end came soon after.
