Raipur Jan. 24. The Chhattisgarh Lok Aayog has issued notices to the Chief Minister, Ajit Jogi, the Chief Secretary, Arun Kumar, and four others for alleged corruption in awarding contract of Hasdeo-Bango irrigation project, official sources said here today.

Notices were also issued to the former Water Resources Secretary, Sushil Trivedi, the chief of the irrigation projects' council, S.K. Bhaduri, the Chief Engineer, N.L. Agrawal, and N.S. Bhadoria on Thursday, sources told PTI here.

Acting on the complaint of one Anup Agrawal of Korba, the Aayog directed the Chief Minister and others to reply on or before February 10.

In a sworn affidavit, Mr. Agrawal had alleged on December 12, with the Principal Lokayukt, Justice K.M. Agrawal, that Rs. 100 crores had changed hands for awarding the contract of the canal construction for the mini Mata Hasdeo-Bango irrigation project by the State Government to the Hyderabad-based Prasad and Company.

On a turnkey basis, the work was awarded to the company for Rs. 173.70 crores on the alleged protection of the Chief Minister and irregularity by top official whereas the work would have been amounted to about Rs. 70 crores, he alleged.
