PM enquires about Maran's health

CHENNAI Jan. 24. The Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee, today telephoned the DMK president, M. Karunanidhi, to enquire about the health of the Union Minister, Murasoli Maran. Mr. Maran is undergoing treatment at a Houston Hospital in the United States. His condition suffered a setback a few days ago.

A DMK press release said that Mr. Karunanidhi apprised Mr. Vajpayee of Mr. Maran's condition with the details he had from Mr.Maran's family and the doctors attending on him.

Mr. Vajpayee wished him a speedy recovery.
