Letters to the Editor
Sir, The United States Defence Secretary, Donald Rumsfeld's comment that Europe does not mean Germany and France shows America's short-sightedness and its hunger for war. The U.S. President, George Bush, and Gen. Rumsfeld should understand that however much the public in general and Governments in particular hate Iraq, nobody is interested in war. Even the Americans are angry with their Government in this aspect. Almost everyone understands that the U.S. Government's craving for war is only to divert public attention from its failure to nab Osama bin Laden or control the Al-Qaeda's activities.
