Raising the issue during zero hour, he said that some armed miscreants had chased his son in a vehicle right up to the gate of the Parliament House complex. It was after security personnel there came to his rescue that the miscreants backed off. He also mentioned that on another occasion some people had damaged a portion of a wall of his residence and made an attempt to enter. Some papers carrying a sketch of his house was also recovered, he said. Several MPs stood up seeking adequate security cover for Mr. Ahmed. The Deputy Chairperson, Najma Heptullah, too echoed concern over the development. She said the incident was serious. Dr. Heptullah asked the Government to direct the police to trace the vehicle. "Police should investigate how they could come to the Parliament House gate. There is no two opinion on safety,'' she said.
