AI increases flights from capital to U.A.E

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM March 7. Introduction of direct flights from Thiruvananthapuram to Alain in the United Arab Emirates for the first time, four Jumbo weekly flights to Riyadh, flights between Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram and increasing the frequency of flights between Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi are the highlights of Air India's (AI) summer schedule that comes into effect from March 30.

With the introduction of the new flight to Alain, a most sought after destination in the United Arab Emirates next to Dubai and Abudhabi, the number of flights being operated by Air India from the state capital to U.A.E will go up from the present five to eight.

In the domestic sector, the North and South of the State has been linked for the first time by Air India with the introduction of flights between Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode airports.

As per the new schedule, the AI 922/921 flight on Monday, from Riyadh via Mumbai and Kozhikode, will arrive at Thiruvananthapuram international airport at 11-50 a.m. and depart for Riyadh via Mumbai at 1-35 p.m. The AI 983 flight from Mumbai will arrive at Thiruvananthapuram airport at 3 p.m. and later depart for Dubai at 4 p.m. on Mondays.

On Tuesday, the AI 982 flight from Dubai will arrive here at 1-30 a.m. and later depart for Mumbai at 2-30 a.m. On Tuesday and Sunday, the AI 6365/6366 flight from Kuwait will arrive here at 4-40 a.m. and depart for Kuwait at 5-55 a.m. The AI 924/923 flight from Riyadh via Mumbai will arrive here at 6-15 a.m. and later depart for Mumbai and Riyadh via Kozhikode at 7-30 a.m. The AI 980/981 flight from Dubai on Wednesday will arrive here at 1-30 a.m. and depart for Dubai at 2-30 a.m. The AI 992/991 flight from Muscat will arrive here at 4-15 p.m. and later depart for Abudhabi via Muscat at 5-20 p.m. The AI 926/925 flight from Riyadh on Wednesday will arrive here at 4-50 p.m. and depart for Riyadh via Kochi at 6-05 p.m.

On Thursday and Saturday, the AI 6365/6366 from Kuwait will arrive here at 6-15 a.m and later proceed to Kuwait at 7-30 a.m. The AI 928/927 flight from Riyadh will arrive here at 7-50 a.m and later depart for Riyadh via Kochi at 9-45 a.m. The AI 985 flight from Kozhikode will arrive at 4-35 p.m. and later depart for Dubai at 5-35 p.m. The AI 902/903 flight from Alain via Kochi on Thursday will arrive here at 5-55 p.m and later depart for Alain at 7-05 p.m.

The AI 994 flight on Friday from Muscat and Abudhabi will land here at 00-30 midnight and later depart for Mumbai at 1-30 a.m. The AI 904/943 flight from Alian via Kochi on Friday will land at international airport here at 7-15 a.m and later depart for Muscat at 9 a.m.

On Saturday, the AI 996 flight from Abudhabi and Muscat will arrive here at 7-50 a.m and later proceed to Mumbai at 8-50 a.m. The AI 987 flight from Kochi on Saturday will arrive here at 10-20 a.m. and will later depart for Dubai at 11-30 a.m. The AI 986/995 flight from Dubai will arrive here at 8-30 p.m and later will proceed to Muscat via Abudhabi at 9-30 p.m.

On Sunday, The AI 989 from Mumbai will arrive here at 9 a.m and will later depart for Dubai at 10 a.m.
