Andhra Pradesh-Hyderabad
By Our Staff Reporter
The amount will be spent on production of the vaccine, the Animal Husbandry Director, R. Mohan Rao, assured a delegation of sheep and goat rearers during their dharna in the city on Saturday. Dr. Rao said the PPR vaccine has not been produced privately so far and if people claimed to be selling the brand, action would be taken against them. The technology for production of the vaccine had arrived from Chennai last month and the production will be taken up immediately, the Director assured, according to a press release of the sheep and goat rearers association. Dr. Rao also said that enough stock of vaccine to treat sheep and goats against enterotoxaemia disease was kept in the districts. The district-level officials were instructed to supply the vaccine. He ruled out collection of user charges in veterinary hospitals.
