Clarify stand on VHP threat, says CPI(M)

By Our Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI APRIL 3. The Communist Party of India (Marxist) today condemned the ``threat'' issued by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, that December 6, 1992 (Babri Masjid demolition day) would be repeated if the site in Ayodhya was not handed over to it for temple construction.

"The BJP leadership should immediately clarify its position regarding this threat. Does it endorse the VHP's stand that the outfit would defy the court and law by resuming the agitation to get control of the acquired land, '' the CPI (M) politburo said in a statement.
