Dacoit offers bell to temple

Auriya April 12. A dreaded dacoit of the Chambal valley, Gurjar, broke through the tight police security to offer a 51 kg bell at the Ayanta Devi temple on the occasion of Ramnavmi on Friday.

The eyewitnesses said he stayed in the temple for over an hour and offered flowers and prayers to the Goddess. Later, he also distributed the `prasad' (holy food) .

While leaving he left a letter daring the authorities to remove the bell from the temple.
