AIBEA general secretary dead

Kolkata May 3. The All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) general secretary, Tarakeswar Chakraborty, died of a heart attack on Friday, family sources said.

Mr. Chakraborty, 77, breathed his last at the airport here on his return from Mumbai. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.

Mr. Chakraborty, who had served the Central Bank of India, retired in 1986.

He became the general secretary of the AIBEA in 1980 and continued in the post till his death. — PTI
