It sold 10,681 units during the month, 42 per cent higher than 7,529 units in the same month a year ago, says a release. Riding on a strong export demand, Santro sales increased by 45 per cent to 8,320 units and Accent by 43 per cent to 2,259 units when compared with the same month in the previous year. Sonata sold 102 units, down from 209 units sold. Exports registered an over four-fold increase to 1,631 units from 378 unitsduring the month under review. B. G. Lee, Executive Director-Marketing, HMIL, said, "While we have been successfully growing both our domestic and export sales, the rising demand has placed some constraints on our production, leading to longer waiting periods. We are working on increasing our capacities and production targets and hope to resolve this situation soon".
