During an informal chat with reporters at the end of the function to release Yarlagadda Lakshmiprasad's book, "Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia,'' Mr. Fernandes said the Prime Minister, who visited Kashmir recently, had a feel of the "expectations of the Kashmir people and the adverse impact of the cross-border terrorism on them and on the development of the State'' and hence his decision for initiative confidence-building measures. Asked about his sudden trip to China, he said that it was not sudden, as the invitation was pending for over a year. On the SARS epidemic, he said that he was thoroughly tested while leaving China and also in Seoul where he had a stopover. "My delegation members and I are fine.''
