Hockey matches with Pak. likely: Gill

By Our Staff Correspondent

PATNA May 3 . As the ties with Pakistan appear to be improving, hockey matches too are likely to be held between the traditional rivals, the Indian Hockey Federation president, K.P.S. Gill, has said. Mr. Gill, who is here on a personal visit, said today that this would be done once the cricketing matches get under way.

It would be in the interest of the two giants to show their skills on the turf and rewrite their glorious past. "The competitiveness between the two countries has been a major factor in building their temperament and that needs to be put in place yet again." There was a demand in both the countries to resume the sporting ties.
