The application will be given free of cost. The re-totalling fee would be Rs.130 for subjects with one paper and Rs.205 for two papers such as languages. The fee should be paid by a demand draft drawn on any nationalised bank in favour of the ``Director of Government Examinations, Chennai 6'' and presented along with the application. For each subject, a separate application should be made. The application and the DD should be deposited in a box kept for the purpose. Applications should not be sent by post or courier to the Directorate.
Photocopy application procedure
The Director, C. Palanivelu, said students might apply for photocopies of answer-sheets in six subjects physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology, botany and zoology by getting the forms from the DEO/CEO offices, the Directorate of Government Examinations office in Chennai and its regional offices. For each subject, the students should apply separately. The students should produce a DD for Rs.275, drawn on any nationalised bank in favour of the ``Director of Government Examinations, Chennai 6''. On the reverse side of the DD the applicants should mention their name, number, address and subject, and return the application in the same offices on or before May 21. The applicants need not affix any stamp on the self-addressed envelope while submitting the applications. Only those who got photocopies of answer-sheets could apply, within three days, for re-valuation/re-totalling in the six subjects. They need no apply for re-totalling separately.
Re-examination
For instant re-examinations to be held for higher secondary candidates from June 25, applications could be got from the schools they studied in last, in CEO/DEO offices as also the regional offices of the examinations Directorate and the Joint Director (Education) in Pondicherry. Application blanks would be sold from May 26 to 31. The examination fee would Rs.85 for one subject, Rs.135 for two subjects and Rs.185 for three subjects. Chennai candidates should pay the fee in the form of DD drawn in favour of ``the Additional Secretary (Higher Secondary), Government Examinations Directorate, Chennai 6''. Candidates in other districts could remit the fee in any treasury office and get a receipt. The filled-in applications, along with the fee (for DD), should be presented at the offices, from where the students got the applications, and not by any other means.
