Mr. Vohra, who was with Mr. Vajpayee for 15 minutes, is believed to have informed him about his schedule during the coming trip. He is understood to have sought guidance from the Prime Minister who has just returned from a foreign tour during which he held talks with leaders of the U.S., the U.K., Russia, China and France on the peace initiative launched recently by the country. The meeting assumes significance as it comes barely three days ahead of Mr. Vohra's scheduled week-long visit to Jammu more than a month after his nine-day interactions with a broad section of political and social leaders in Kashmir valley. Mr. Vohra, who would be in the temple city till June 14, is scheduled to interact with leaders from various walks of life, including political and social, the sources said. Among the political leaders with whom the Centre's pointman is scheduled to interact are those belonging to the BJP, the BSP and the Panthers Party. Various eminent social leaders who have ``indicated their desire'' to participate in the dialogue process are also scheduled to meet him. Mr. Vohra has extended no individual invitations but says he will ``welcome suggestions, interactions and meetings with all those who wish to share their views.'' The visit, which was expected to take place earlier this week, was deferred because of the ongoing Assembly session in the State. PTI
