Catalyst Trust condemns attack on social activists

CHENNAI JUNE 8. Condemning the increasing number of attacks on social workers/activists, the Catalyst Trust has invited complaints from affected members.

At a meeting organised on Saturday, the Trust proposed to conduct a public meeting to create awareness on the problems faced by the social workers/activists.

It would form residents forum in each ward with members from the voluntary organisations and social workers.The forum would regularly interact with the police authorities. Youth would be encouraged to participate in activities connected with social causes. Details regarding the attacks on social workers and their property can be sent to the Trust via e-mail catalyst-trust@eth.net, according to a release.
