As many as 14 feature films and six short films would be shown at the festival, the Academy chairman, T. K. Rajiv Kumar, said in a release here today. The directors, T. V. Chandran, Amol Palekar and Sayeed Mirza would attend the festival. Other than the Malayalam films, `Danny' and `Vasthuhara', `Kali Salwar', `Samar', `Nazeem' (Hindi), `Galeeja' (Kannada), `Dhyasparv'(Marathi), `Maguni Ra Shagada' (Oriya) `Ekti Nadir Naam' (Bengali) `Oorukku Nooruper', `Karuvalam Pookkal' (Tamil) `Tiladanam' (Telugu) `Swapnare Santhane (Bengali) and six short films will be shown at the festival. Delegates pass for Rs. 50 would be issued from the festival office, which will be opened at Aysha Complex on July 9. Entry will be restricted to delegates. The Education Minister, Nalakath Soopy, would preside over the inaugural function.
