Dismissed employees to appear in batches

By Our Staff Reporter

CHENNAI AUG. 26. Government employees dismissed/suspended under the provisions of Tamil Nadu Essential Maintenance Act are likely to be called upon to appear before the designated panel of former judges in batches.

According to sources, with a view to save time, cost and effort, the panel has decided to send uniform printed notices indicating the specific charges against the employee concerned and the hearing date. The notices, in the specified format, are under print, the sources said.

Not the entire representations and appeals submitted by employees to their appointing authority have reached the panel's provisional administrative centre at 107/3 on Greenways Road here, and many more are still to come. Those who have already submitted such appeals need not file fresh representations, the sources said.
