TEA hails industrial policy

COIMBATORE: The Tirupur Exporters' Association (TEA) has hailed the new Industrial Policy of the State Government as `pragmatic' which would have a `far-reaching effect'. It lauded the Government's commitment to provide the highest priority for setting up of apparel parks and agri-export zones.

In a release, the president of the association, A. Sakthivel, expressed happiness over the recognition of the valuable contribution of the textiles and garment sector and a number of initiatives contemplated to enable this segment to retain its predominant position in the State. He also commended the initiative to usher in labour reforms.
