Hunt for legitimacy

Sir, — I refer to the editorial "LTTE's hunt for legitimacy" ( Oct. 2 ). Every right thinking person knows the savage means and ways employed by this terror organisation to eliminate political rivals. Its flagrant violation of human rights and ceasefires over the years is apparent. Any attempt by the Tigers to win international legitimacy must be nipped in the bud.

Sir, — All of us are ready to support the legitimate rights of the Tamils in Sri Lanka. But supporting LTTE is equal to supporting the Hizb-ul-Mujahideen and the Laskhar-e-Taiba.
