Saraswati Vandana

Sir, — This has reference to the article "Saraswati Vandana made mandatory at NBT book fairs" ( Oct. 2 ). Many musicians such as K.J. Yesudas and Bismillah Khan offer salutations to Goddess Saraswati, who is the mother of learning. The author is wrong in implying that the move reflects a hidden agenda.

Raghunarayan,

Mysore

Dhiraj Dangoria,

Hyderabad
