Letters to the Editor
Sir, I would like to congratulate you for the special supplement on Gandhi ( ). The language was as good as ever. The column on his assassination was especially touching. I wish to preserve it for the future generations to read and understand the greatness of our country. Brinda K., Thiruvananthapuram * * * Sir, The supplement is beyond appreciation. It makes each of its readers feel what `independent' India means. R. Savitha, Tuticorin, T.N. * * * Sir, The Hindu could have paid no greater tribute to the Mahatma and provided no better treat to its readers than the eight-page special release. Far more than the memorable photographs, it was the reproduction of the centre pages of Aug. 15, 1947 and Jan. 31, 1948 that took the readers back in time to those historic days. G. Radhakrishnan, Thiruvananthapuram
