Petition against use of POTA rejected
By Our Special Correspondent
AHMEDABAD
OCT. 18.
The special POTA court Judge, Sonia Gokani, today rejected a petition challenging the application of Prevention of Terrorism Act against the accused in the former Gujarat Minister of State for Home, Haren Pandya, murder case.
Accepting the arguments of the CBI advocate, which investigated the Pandya murder case, Ms. Gokani ruled that from the investigations, it was clear that the intentions behind the murder was to create terror among Hindus.
The accused had been in touch with terrorist organisations and were also involved in the serial "tiffin box" bomb explosions on buses proving their intention to create terror among people.
