Bureaucrat judge

Sir, — While commenting on the appointment of a bureaucrat as Competitive Commission chief, the Supreme Court said that at this rate, bureaucrats will replace judges, including those of the Supreme Court ( Nov. 01 ).

P.V. Balakrishna Iyer, eminent ICS personnel, was appointed judge of the Madras High Court and he retired as the Chief Justice. In a farewell message, the legal luminary, Allady Krishnaswamy Iyer, paid tributes to Justice Iyer for his splendid service as a judge.
