Letters to the Editor
Sir, This refers to the acquittal of the former Prime Minister, P.V. Narasimha Rao, and others by the special CBI court in the Lakhubhai Pathak cheating case. Justice has been done but nevertheless the case lasted nearly 15 years. The inexcusable delay is suggestive of the flaws in the criminal justice system. V.K. Sathyavan Nair, Kottayam, Kerala * * * Sir, The case highlights the need for judicial reforms. Justice delayed is justice denied. Pending cases will have to be disposed of faster. Case adjournments should be the exception rather than the rule. D.B.N. Murthy, Bangalore
