Reservation

Sir, — The idea of reservation in the private sector is neither feasible nor desirable. Already, the doors have virtually been closed to merit in the public sector. Can such a state of affairs be allowed to plague the private sector too?

Sir, — If the Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, really accepts that "real empowerment must come from education," it follows that it is the Government's responsibility to look after all the education needs of the people, eliminating private profiteers from the sector.
