By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD Jan. 2. The Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad (MCH) will set up 3,782 booths for administering polio vaccine on January 4 as part of the Pulse Polio Immunisation programme.

The booths will be arranged at all polling stations, urban health centres, nursing homes, anganwadi centres, community halls, playschools, railway stations, RTC stations and the airport.

In a statement, the MCH said that vaccine would be administered to six lakh children from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Personnel would embark on a house-to-house visit the next two days to administer the vaccine to children who missed the programme.

Over 15,000 staff members had been drafted for the job. The statement said that 356 mobile teams would be pressed into service for the sake of construction workers.
