Smuggled liquor seized

CHENNAI, FEB. 5. Chengai East police on Tuesday seized 150 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor, made in Pondicherry, which was being smuggled into the city.

Police said a team belonging to the Prohibition Enforcement Wing was conducting vehicle checks near Chinnakuppam in Madhavaram, following specific information. On checking a jeep, they noticed the bottles, each with a capacity of 180 ml. Three persons were arrested and remanded to judicial custody, police said.
