THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, FEB. 11. The Chief Minister, A.K. Antony, has allocated the Electricity portfolio to the new Minister, K. Muraleedharan. Kadavoor Sivadasan, who was handling Electricity, gets Health and P. Sankaran is given Tourism in lieu of Health. K.V. Thomas, who was handling Tourism, gets Excise and retains Fisheries. The Chief Minister announced the changes at a Cabinet briefing today after the Governor, Sikander Bakht, accepted his recommendations. Mr. Antony said the allocations had been made according to his judgment. He had discussed the changes with the Ministers concerned. He felt that Electricity should be allocated to Mr. Muraleedharan as he was an important leader of the party. He said the induction of Mr. Muraleedharan into the Cabinet would strengthen the Government. It would be helpful for the functioning of the Government. "You will see this in the coming days."
