Seven killed in road accident

ONGOLE,
FEB. 15.
Seven persons, including a woman, were killed and one was injured when a truck hit an autorickshaw at Pandillapally near Bestavaripet, 130 km from here today.
Eight persons, including the driver, were travelling in the autorickshaw when the accident occurred. While six persons were killed on the spot, one died while being shifted to the Government Hospital in Guntur.
The victims were identified as Avula Balakoti Reddy (27) of Mokshagundam, Kancharla Venkateswarlu (40), Kuvvarapu Izak (45), Sandepogu Devasahayam (60), Totakura Abraham (40), Totakura Prabhavati (30) and Pathakota Ramana Reddy, all belonging to Pandillapally.
The autorickshaw driver, Baireddy Bayyapu Reddy, who was seriously injured, was admitted to the Government Hospital at Giddalur.
