Pensioners vow to take on Government
By Our Special Correspondent
TIRUPATI. Feb. 15. Apparently frustrated over the continued silence of the Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, over the issue of releasing the five instalments of Dearness Allowance (DA) arrears, pensioners on Saturday said: "We may be physically old, but are mentally strong enough to bring down the Government."
Jayarama Naidu, president of the Chittoor district unit of the Joint Action Committee, A.P. Govt. Retired Employees' Association, addressing a meeting, took strong exception to the Government's apathy in this regard.
He and others who spoke pledged to teach the Government a lesson.
The JAC is meeting here again on February 18 to chalk out a plan for direct action.
