Naidu for Kuppam today

By Our Special Correspondent

TIRUPATI. Feb. 15. In less than four days, the Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, is visiting his home district of Chittoor again tomorrow, this time for a hectic programme in his Kuppam constituency.

It was only on Thursday that Naidu criss-crossed the streets of the district headquarters town of Chittoor on a bicycle as part of the Telugu Desam Party's ongoing `Jenda Panduga' and rounded it off with a public meeting.

He is again flying into the district tomorrow and would touchdown at the Animagipalle helipad in Kuppam constituency at 10.30 a.m. on a four and a half hour visit. He will start his schedule with the inauguration of the Tourism Motel - Punnami Highway Resorts - constructed at a cost of about Rs.4.50 crores.

His next programme is laying the foundation stone for a `Silk Project' followed by the inauguration of the Cold Storage unit and laying of foundation stone for an `Asceptic Packaging' unit.

He would later proceed to Kuppam town to address a public meeting and from there would go to Santhipuram, also in Kuppam constituency, to inaugurate the mandal complex.

As his visit comes in the midst of the ongoing campaign for the coming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, ostensibly in the name of the `Jenda Panduga', he is not missing to have an in-camera session with his party colleagues at Kuppam for nearly an hour to discuss the constituency and district-specific strategies to take on the Congress, which is out apparently for a last-ditch electoral battle in the State.

The Ministers -- Srinivas Yadav, K. Sivaraprasad Rao and B. Gopalakrishna Reddy - will be among others who would accompany Mr. Naidu.
