NEW DELHI, FEB. 16 . A 35-year-old man who had allegedly been paid to kill the brother of a notorious gangster has been arrested by the West Delhi police. The police claim to have recovered a stolen car and a country-made revolver from him. According to the police, a trap was laid at Karampura in Moti Nagar (West Delhi) on Saturday following a tip-off about the alleged criminal. Around 4-10 p.m., the suspect appeared on the scene in an Indica car and was apprehended. The car had been stolen from Kalkaji in South Delhi on February 2. A country-made revolver and two live cartridges were recovered from the accused, identified as Shyam Sunder, a resident of Kirari in West Delhi. During interrogation, Shyam told the police that he had been given Rs. 25,000 in advance from members of the Anoop gang to kill Bharte, brother of Kishan Pehalwan. The rest Rs. 75,000 was to be paid after the killing. In addition, he was to be paid Rs. 15,000 a month for his livelihood.
