Clear skies

CHENNAI, FEB. 22. The skies will be mainly clear on Monday and the minimum temperature will be around 21 degree Celsius.

On Sunday, Nungambakkam recorded a maximum temperature of 31.9 degree Celsius and a minimum of 20.4. The humidity was 77 per cent. Meenambakkam recorded a maximum of 32.7 degree Celsius and a minimum of 20.1. The humidity was 72 per cent.

Power cut

Power supply will be suspended on Monday in parts of Ennore, West Pallavaram and Kilpauk and on Tuesday in parts of Kilpauk, Egmore, Purasawalkam, Kalmandapam, Pudupet, Perumbakkam, Mandaveli, Korattur, Tondiarpet, Radha Nagar and Chromepet between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. for maintenance work.

Training

The Small Industries Service Institute, Guindy, is offering a 40-day free training programme for those who opt for voluntary retirement scheme from Central public sector undertakings in Tamil Nadu. The objective is to provide self-employment opportunities to them, says a release.
