Synergy 2004
The event was aimed at making students of management, information technology, mass communication and marketing aware about the importance of teamwork, event management and leadership qualities. In his address, Mr. Khera said: "Core wisdom is universal and no nation or people can claim proprietary rights to it. But Indian students I feel are the best in this arena. To get the winning edge, we need to strive for excellence, not perfection. Striving for perfection is neurotic, striving for excellence is progress."
Assaulted
The police said the accused, Anthony, had taken the victim along with him on February 23. The following day when the girl returned home she informed her parents that she had been assaulted by the accused. Stating that it was only yesterday that the parents informed them, the police said the medical examination of the victim has been carried out and efforts were being made to arrest the accused, who has been under preventive judicial custody since February 25.
Arrested
According to the police, Neelam Gupta (42) and her son Amit (18) were at home when their domestic help, Ramu, offered them tea and then requested them to grant him leave for some days. However, when Neelam refused, Ramu allegedly lost his temper and attacked her with a kitchen knife. Neelam sustained injuries in the head and other parts of bodies. Amit, who intervened, was also attacked by the accused and sustained injuries in his hand. Amit also managed to overpower the accused, who was subsequently handed over to the police.
