Letters to the Editor
Sir, I am surprised by the hue and cry about film stars entering politics. You can find fault with their lack of experience in politics but you cannot fault their desire to serve the people. No one can deny their right to campaign for, or contest on behalf of, the party of their choice.
S. Charuhasan,
* * * Sir, Do these artists realise that politics is an entirely different kettle of fish?
S. Narayanan,
* * * Sir, __ In politics one has to `act.' So, the BJP and the Congress have opened their doors to actors and actresses. To what extent these parties will benefit will be known only after the `release' of the election results.
B. Krishnaveni,
