CHENNAI MARCH 13. The sky will be partly cloudy on Sunday. The maximum temperature will be around 34 degree Celsius.

Nungambakkam and Meenambakkam recorded a maximum temperature of 33.1 and 34.1 degree Celsius and a minimum of 23.4 and 23.6 degree Celsius, respectively. The humidity recorded was 52 and 46 per cent respectively.

Power cut

Power supply will be suspended in parts of Kondithope and Egmore between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Monday for maintenance work.

Vaccination camp

A free anti-rabies vaccination camp for dogs and cats was organised on March 10 at the Dhadhawadi Jain temple in Ayanavaram by Bhagwan Mahaveer Ahimsa Prachar Sangh. Nearly 50 canines were vaccinated at the camp, where de-worming medicines were also administered to the pets, according to a press release.

Clothes given

SMILE (Selfless Movement Improving Life Everywhere), a philanthropic organisation, distributed clothes and rice to over 200 persons who suffered in the fire incident recently on Thomas Road.

Book released

The Asian Association of Craniofacial Surgery has brought out a book on Distraction Ontogenesis, which is an emerging surgical technique to correct inoperable craniofacial deformities. The publication was released at the 2nd Asia Pacific Congress on Craniofacial Distraction Ontogenesis in Maldives recently. For further details, contact: S.M. Founder's Day

Students and teachers of P.S. Higher Secondary School celebrated Founder's Day on Sunday. The school's class of 1954 celebrated their golden jubilee reunion the same day.
