`Small newspapers neglected'

By Our Staff Correspondent

TUMKUR, MARCH 15. The Association of Editors of District Level Newspapers in Karnataka has decided to fight for "legitimate support from the Union and State governments."

The president of the association, H.S. Ramanna, told presspersons here on Monday that the district-level newspapers were not shying away from seeking advertisement support from the Union and State governments as they should legitimately get it.

He said the government spent huge sums on publicising their achievements, but the district newspapers were neglected.
