Buta Singh injured

JAIPUR, MARCH 18. The former Union Minister and Congress leader, Buta Singh, was injured when the vehicle in which he was travelling fell on its side while negotiating a curve on the Jodhpur-Jalore highway in Pali district this morning .

Mr. Singh, who was on his way to his Lok Sabha constituency, Jalore, sustained a spinal injury and cuts on the fingers of his left hand and on the neck. He was flown to Delhi by a special aircraft this evening from Jodhpur.

Mr. Singh's daughter, Ritu Singh, two of his security guards and maidservant travelling in the same vehicle too sustained injuries. All the injured, including Mr.Singh, are said to be out of danger. Sources said the car rolled over two times before coming to a halt.

M. S. Sharma, Additional District Magistrate, said Mr. Singh would be taken to the Spinal Centre, Delhi.
