DDA handed over alternate plots
By Our Staff Reporter
NEW DELHI,
MARCH 19.
To facilitate Delhi Development Authority efforts to relocate the slum clusters from Vijay Ghat to the Old Railway Bridge at Yamuna Pushta, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi today handed over to DDA 1,000 alternative plots at Bawana in North-West Delhi.
With the objective of speeding up the relocation process from Yamuna Pushta, the DDA has been asked by the Union Tourism Ministry to join hands with the MCD and has been given the slum clusters between Vijay Ghat and the Old Yamuna Bridge.
Highly placed sources in the MCD said the civic body would soon be handing over more than 2,000 additional alternative plots to DDA for the eligible slum dwellers.
