KOCHI, MARCH 22 . Joseph Puthusserry, MLA, and Kerala Congress(M) general secretary, today refused to subscribe to the views expressed by P.C.Thomas, Union Minister of State for Law and Justice, on the latter's expulsion from the party. Addressing a press conference here today, he alleged that the ouster of Mr.Thomas was the result of his gross indiscipline. Mr. Joseph denied that the expulsion had anything to do with the entry of K.M. Mani's son, as the latter was nowhere in the picture when the key issues evolved. The MLA justified the efforts made by the Kerala Congress(M) in 1979 and 1982. The move for a new political revamp had led to the developments in 1979. The Kerala Congress(M) and the Congress led by A.K. Antony had joined hands with the LDF then. It was a new experiment and not just for any personal gain. The party and the Congress led by Mr. Antony had left the front in 1982 owing to political differences with the CPI(M), he said. There was no justification in drawing parallels between Mr. Thomas' move and the Kerala Congress(M)'s past efforts, according to him.
