We're comfortable with Vajpayee: Jamali

NEW DELHI, MARCH 29. Observing that the India-Pakistan composite dialogue process depended on the results of the Indian elections, the Pakistan Prime Minister, Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali, tonight said that "we are very comfortable" with the Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. "I understand that the BJP is favoured to win [the elections] and I must admit that we are very comfortable with Mr. Vajpayee. His views, his stature, his thinking — we find all these very positive," Mr. Jamali told the Sahara Samay channel.

Noting that the Foreign Secretaries of the two countries were to meet sometime in May or June, he said there was a reference to a composite dialogue. "I don't know. It all depends on your elections and how they go," the television channel quoted him as saying in a release. — PTI
