Sinha's car damaged

RANCHI, APRIL 20. The External Affairs Minister, Yashwant Sinha's car was today damaged allegedly by some CPI activists at a polling booth in his Hazaribag Lok Sabha constituency.

Mr. Sinha said he had gone to the booth after hearing that attempts were being made to capture it.

As the Minister came out after telling the presiding officer that order had to be restored in the booth, he saw one of his security guards surrounded and abused allegedly by CPI workers.

Mr. Sinha said he managed to push the guard into his vehicle that had been damaged and leave the scene.

He said he had informed the local police.
