Two detained

By Our Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI, APRIL 20. A 32-year-old mentally unsound man was today detained along with his brother-in-law from outside the 7 Race Course residence of the Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, after he claimed that he wanted to pass on some urgent information to Mr. Vajpayee about a threat to his life. Later, he was released when doctors declared him mentally unsound.

The incident took place around 7 a.m. when Sanjeev, a resident of Kurukshetra in Haryana, approached the NSG personnel deployed at the reception room.

The NSG personnel detained Sanjeev. Another person, Jeetendra Sharma from East Delhi, approached them claiming that Sanjeev was his sister's husband. Both were detained by police.
